Cinema club
The Arabic Cultural Institute organized a series of film screenings dedicated to exploring the richness of Arab cinema and its ability to address historical, social and cultural themes.
The programme features a selection of films from the Arab world, including Khorfakkan (2020), written by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and directed by Ben Mole and Maurice Sweeney; Hassan and Marcus (2008), an Egyptian comedy-drama directed by Ramy Imam and starring Adel Imam and Omar Sharif; On the Bride’s Side (Io sto con la sposa, 2014), directed by Khaled Soliman Al Nassiry and Gabriele Del Grande, a documentary recounting the experiences of Syrian and Arab refugees, previously presented at the 71st Venice International Film Festival; and A Little Story Called Nour (2025), directed by Mahmoud Adawi, a documentary exploring an innovative workshop in Beirut that brings together young Syrians from different political backgrounds, fostering dialogue and peacebuilding.

ArabCor
ArabCor, the Arabic-language choir of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Prof. Wael Farouq, Director of ACI. The idea of creating a student choir arose from the desire to go beyond traditional classroom teaching and offer an educational tool for learning Arabic through the beauty of musical art.
